4-Point Inspection
Between rising premiums and insurance carriers leaving the state, switching coverage has become far too common. When you’re asked for a 4-point inspection, it’s important to work with an inspector who represents your best interest—not one who creates unnecessary issues.
A 4-point inspection is a simple, insurance-required report that focuses on four major systems in the home. Our approach is straightforward: provide clear, accurate documentation that meets insurance requirements without overcomplicating the process, so you can move forward with confidence.
What Is a 4-Point Inspection?
A 4-point inspection is a limited, insurance-focused inspection that evaluates the condition of four major systems in the home:
- Roof
- Electrical System
- Plumbing System
- HVAC (heating and cooling)
Unlike a full home inspection, a 4-point is not designed to evaluate the entire property. Its purpose is to document the age, condition, and overall functionality of these systems for insurance underwriting.
What This Inspection Does for You
A 4-point inspection helps you:
- Meet your insurance company’s requirements
- Avoid unnecessary delays in obtaining coverage
- Provide clear, accurate information about your home’s major systems
- Prevent issues caused by over-reporting or unclear documentation
At Inspect Central Florida, the goal is to provide a fair and accurate report—not to create problems where none exist.

- We focus on what actually matters for underwriting
The goal is to help you get the coverage you need without avoidable issues.
When You Might Need a 4-Point Inspection
You may be asked for a 4-point inspection if:
- You are purchasing a home
- You are changing insurance policies
- Your current insurer requests updated documentation.
