Mold and Air Quality Testing
If you have concerns about indoor air quality or possible mold growth, this test helps determine what’s present in the air inside your home.
Air quality testing uses specialized equipment to collect air samples from inside and outside the home. These samples are analyzed to determine if elevated mold levels are present indoors.
By comparing indoor air to outdoor conditions, we can identify whether the home environment may be contributing to poor air quality.
Who Air Quality Testing Is For
Air quality testing may be helpful if:
- You notice musty or unusual odors
- You’ve experienced water intrusion or leaks
- There are visible signs of possible mold growth
- Occupants are experiencing unexplained allergy-like symptoms
- You want additional peace of mind about the air inside the home
- You have had issue with mold allergies or toxicity in the past
How Air Quality Testing Works
We use a calibrated air pump to pull air through specially designed collection cartridges.
- Air samples are taken from inside the home
- A control sample is taken from outside
- Samples are sent to an independent lab for analysis
The comparison between indoor and outdoor samples helps determine whether mold growth may be present within the structure.
Cost Of Air Quality Test
$200 for a standard air quality test (includes 2 samples)
Additional samples may be recommended for:
- Homes over 2,000 square feet
- Multi-story homes
- Situations where more detailed analysis is needed
Lab Analysis & Air Quality Test Results
All samples are sent to ProLab, an independent laboratory that specializes in mold and air quality analysis.
Results are typically returned within 3–4 days.
What You Will Receive
You will receive a detailed lab report that includes:
- Identification of mold spores present
- Spore counts and comparison between indoor and outdoor samples
- Clear breakdown of findings
- Supporting data from the laboratory analysis
