4-POINT INSPECTION
A 4-Point Inspection, also known as an insurance inspection, is an inspection that is done specifically for insurance purposes. It is automatically performed and included in the price of a general home inspection on any house that is 20 years old or older. It is also automatically performed and included on any foreclosed or bank owned home. This inspection can also be done as a stand-alone inspection for people who are looking to change insurance carriers.
The 4-Point inspection focuses on the 4 major systems of the home: Roof, Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC. The report will contain ages, dates, life expectancies, components, and functionality of the buildings major systems. It will also contain a specific set of pictures that are required by the insurance company. The 4-Point report will come in an insurance industry standardized format and will be email to you and any insurance agent you would like.
